Augusta Winery

In 1988 the Augusta Winery was established by Tony Kooyumjian to produce the highest quality wine possible in the Augusta Viticultural area. The Augusta Winery features those high quality wines, ranging from dry dinner wines to sweet dessert wines. Numerous medals from around the country attest to the quality of these wines. Augusta Winery is centrally located in the historic town of Augusta, Missouri. In 1980 Augusta was recognized as the first U.S. Wine District, or Viticultural Area #1, because of its unique soil, climate, historical significance and quality of wines produced from grapes grown in vineyards that date to the 1800’s. Augusta vints its wines in small quantities so special care may be given to each lot. The Winery also features a tasting room, gift shop area with wine related items and locally produced cheese, sausages and bread available.

 

Blumenhof Winery

Blumenhof Winery is located in the historic village of Dutzow, Missouri’s oldest German settlement (founded in 1832). The winery takes its name—"Court of Flowers" in German—from the Blumenberg family’s ancestral farm in northwestern Germany. Beginning with its first vintage in 1986, Blumenhof Winery has been dedicated to growing, producing and bottling a wonderful selection of Missouri-grown varietal wines from their own vineyards established in 1978. Winning state, national and international awards for several years attests to their quality and commitment. Tasting room and gift shop, along with inside and outside areas to enjoy their wines are also available.

 

Cave Vineyard

Cave Vineyard is a family owned establishment. It derives its name from the Saltpeter Cave, located on the property. The vineyard was established in 2001 and is tended to by our family to produce wine that we hope brings your family and friends together. The tasting room offers the opportunity to sample our fine wines and purchase hand-crafted quilts and products from local artisans. Share a bottle of wine in our natural cave wine cellar or enjoy our tasting room view overlooking the beautiful rolling hills of Ste. Genevieve.

Charleville Vineyards & Winery

Charleville Vineyards is a family owned vineyard. After harvesting grapes for seven years, Charleville opened its tasting room in early July, 2003. The property houses a tasting room and patio. You can sip their fine wines in a rustic country setting high atop a hill overlooking a panoramic view of some of the highest points in Ste. Genevieve County. Experience the essence of a working vineyard! The owners will be happy to share information about not only the wines but the grapes that make them so special. The vineyard is situated on a rolling hillside above the Saline Creek Valley. Charleville Vineyards is located off of Highway WW near Coffman in an area historically known as “Clearwater”, overlooking the Saline Creek Valley in Ste. Genevieve County MO.


Chaumette Vineyards & Winery

The rich and romantic heritage of France runs deep at Chaumette Vineyards in the heart of Sainte Genevieve County. Here, just a few miles from the historic river port, amid graceful hills, luxurious views, and carefully tended vines sits a proud addition to America's quality vineyards. Chaumette is located on 310 acres of lush meadows and quiet splendor. Enjoy the sophisticated rural experience with original art in the Gallerie De Vins, on a tour of the Vineyard or Winery or in one of several wine classes. Chaumette is located off Highway I-55, (exit 150) at Highway 32, go west 100 feet to Highway B, then South for 14 miles to Coffman. Take Highway WW approximately 2.5 miles to the winery.

Cottleville Wine Seller & Wine Garden

The Cottleville Wine Seller house has it’s roots deep in Missouri history. Constructed in 1849, the building was erected on Plank Road, now called Highway N. Lorenzo Cottle was the founder of Cottleville. The land was owned by his father, Dr. Warren Cottle. He was the first in the country to build a mill in the early 1800′s. You can still find some of the stone throughout old town Cottleville.In 1849 the nearby metropolis of Saint Louis, with a population of 63,000, was the jumping-off place for Forty-Niners eager to make their fortune in the gold fields of California. In 1849 the first President from Missouri took his place in the White House. Senator David R. Atchison, the Pro Tem ofthe Senate, was named to fill the vacancy between the resignation of James Polk and the inauguration of Zachary Taylor. Atchison’s term lasted only one day–a Sunday–because Taylor refused to be sworn in on the Sabbath for religious reasons. The historical house has weathered over 160 years of civil and international wars, depressions, political turmoil, and recessions, culminating in its modernization and renovation in 2008.

Crown Valley Winery

Nestled in the rolling hills and scenic views of Coffman in historic Ste. Genevieve County, Crown Valley Winery is a gem to behold with over 300 acres of which 120 are vineyard. The architecture and interior features unique materials such as hand-carved oak doors with reclaimed stained glass, copper and wrought iron crafted by local artisans, leaf stamped copper bars and church pews from the 1930’s. Live musical guests play most weekends. Also available are winery tours, tastings, a banquet facility, a deli, gift shop, and indoor/outdoor seating.


Montelle Winery

Montelle Winery is located atop Osage Ridge just 1½ miles east of Augusta, Missouri. It commands a magnificent view of the Missouri River, the Village of Augusta and the surrounding farms and vineyards. Montelle Winery is a combination of Montelle Vineyards, founded in 1970, and Osage Ridge Winery, founded in 1984. The present owner, Tony Kooyumjian, acquired the winery in 1998. Winner of numerous awards, Montelle has achieved fame for its superb dry and semi-dry table wines. These wines include Seyval, Vidal, Vignoles and red wines such as Chambourcin, Cynthiana and Cabernet Sauvignon. Their semi-dry wines are popular as well as their German-style white wines. They are also noted for their rich dessert and fruit wines.

Mount Pleasant Winery

George Munch, who came to the area with his brother, Frederick, from Germany, founded Mount Pleasant Winery in 1859. He established the winery in an area that reminded him of his homeland. Today, Mount Pleasant is the largest grower of grapes in the Augusta Appellation with over 60,000 vines. Approximately 4,800 of these are vinifera - Chardonnay and the Bordeaux varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Other varietals include Vidal Blanc, Seyval Blanc, Rayon d'Or, Vignoles, St. Vincent, Chambourcin, Couderc, Chardonnel, and Cynthiana. Enjoy wine tasting and then settle down on the patio with its majestic view and enjoy a bottle of wine and maybe some bistro food from the Augusta Grocery. During the winter months you can enjoy romantic candlelight dinners, or more lighthearted evenings at a murder mystery dinner theater.

Sainte Genevieve Winery

Located in the historic district of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, the oldest French settlement west of the Mississippi, is Sainte Genevieve Winery. A special connection is felt with the French through their rich history and their wines. The winery is located in a beautiful 5,000 square foot, turn-of –the century home. Sainte Genevieve Winery is a family owned and operated business that was established in 1984.

Stone Hill Winery & Vintage Restaurant

Sugar Creek Winery

Travel scenic highway 94, also called the Missouri Weinstrasse (wine road), and the first stop you find is Sugar Creek Winery. This area, one of the oldest settlements west of the Mississippi, including the winery grounds, was part of the original land grant given to the frontiersman Daniel Boone to settle the area. Old vineyards have been replaced with current popular varietals such as Vidal, Cynthiana, Chambourcin and an exciting new varietal Chardonel, a hybrid of Chardonnay and Seyval Blanc. The winery also contracts with other Missouri grape growers to meet production requirements. Whether you enjoy the outside terrace, gazebo, or the cozy indoor parlor turned tasting room; Sugar Creek offers a wonderful way to spend a relaxing afternoon. Alto Vineyards

Alto Vineyards is located in the quiant town of Alto Pass, Illinois. Situated ont he State Route 127 south of Murphysboro and north of Jonesboro, Illinois. They maintain seven grape varieties in their 10-acre vineyard and they currently produce 25,000 gallons of wine a year. Their wines can be found in retial shops throughout southern and central Illinois. Visit their tasting rooms and gift shops. You may sample a wide assortment of locally-produced wines and browse through gift shops featuring regional art and crafts, gourmet food, gift baskets, apparel and wine-related items.

Cameo Vineyards

Cameo Vineyards started as a dream in 1991 with the first planting of 70 grapevines. Then, in 2002, Cameo Vineyards opened its doors. Today, they have nearly 4,000 French-American hybrid grapevines, covering close to seven acres. They crush approximately 35 tons of Illinois grapes each year and produce 14 varieties of wine, from dry to sweet, in reds, whites and blushes. Their wines have won numerous regional and international awards.

Cellars de Santom

In 2002, after many years of making wine for their own enjoyment, a growing circle of fellow wine drinkers, and winning awards for their wines, Thom and Sandie Beebe decided to open their commercial winery. As they began to assemble a team of dedicated vineyard and winery personnel two names immediately came to mind. Within days, Larry Shannon and Scott Shannon were appointed vice presidents in the corporation. All four share the same philosophy. The quality and superior tastes of Cellars de Santom wine begins in the vineyard and it needs be pleasing to the palette and able to be enjoyed by all.

Collver Family Winery

The Collver Family Winery opened in 2002, located on I-72 Exit 20 in Barry, IL, the winery was the first to open in West Central IL in over 100 years. Family owned and operated by James & Phyllis Collver. All wines are produced and bottled at the winery. They grow French-American hybrid grapes including but not limited to Chardonel, Vignoles, Vidal Blanc, Traminette, Chancellor, Cayuga White, and Chambourcin.

Fox Creek Vineyards

Fox Creek Vineyards Company is a small, family owned and operated winery with its own modest vineyard. It is located in the Southeastern Illinois countryside amid the low rolling hills of the old orchard country of Richland County. Once the center of the apple and peach growing industry, this area is ideal for the growing of French-American hybrid wine grapes. The soils and the intense summer heat allow the making of wines with very pronounced fruity flavors. This allows the staff to craft wines in the traditional styles that are a truly unique experience in full flavored, fruity aromas, without the need for heavy oaking.

GenKota Winery

GenKota Winery opened December 12, 1997. The Amish-built winery sits on a gentle hill overlooking two acres of growing vineyard. The wraparound, covered deck encourages sitting and sipping. Owned by Dr. & Mrs. Bradley Drake and named for their daughters, Gennifer and Dakota, GenKota's wines, manufactured on site, have won numerous awards in both state and international competitions.

Inheritance Valley Vineyards

The first vines at Inheritance Valley Vineyards were planted in 1997. Since then, the vineyards have been expanded to include seven varieties of wine grapes, three varieties of seedless table grapes, and several varieties of fruits and berries. The winery began producing commercial wines during the 2002 harvest and opened for sales in 2003. Their goal is to provide quality wines to be enjoyed by a diverse group of wine drinkers. They believe this is best accomplished by keeping things as simple as possible.

Lau-Nae Winery, Inc.

Lau-Nae Winery was established by Mike and Donna Mollet in 1999. The winery grows Marchel Foch, Cayuga White, Concord and Niagara grapes in their vineyard. They also have a fruit orchard with apple and peach trees along with blackberries and elderberries. The Lau-Nae name is derived from their mother's maiden names (Laurent) and (Naeger) which are reflective of the French and German ancestry found in this Southwestern Illinois region. The French immigrants settled there around 1835 followed by the German immigrants around 1850. Red Bud was named after the brilliant blossoms of the Red Bud trees. Hence, the nickname, "Blossom City". Red Bud was an important stop on the stagecoach line between Belleville, Kaskaskia, Chester and St. Louis. This story is included on several of the wines offered at Lau-Nae.

Owl Creek Vineyard | Cobden

Owl Creek Vineyard is a small winery and vineyard operation opened in December 1995. For the 2001 vintage season approximately 51,000 lbs. of grapes were crushed at Owl Creek producing about 3200 gallons of wine. There are four acres of established vineyard at Owl Creek, growing several varieties including Chambourcin, Seyval Blanc, Norton, Vignoles, and Niagara. All Owl Creek wines are made exclusively from grapes grown in Southern Illinois. They are natural wines that receive as little processing as possible in order to express the "gout de terroir" or taste of the soil and climate of our region. Owl Creek Vineyard is a great stop for visitors, and is located within 10 miles of several B&B's, numerous hiking and biking trails (including Giant City Park) and lots of antique shops.

Pheasant Hollow Winery

Visit their tasting room to sample award-winning, finely crafted fruit or grape wines. Browse their gift shop for that unique item or order a personalized gift basket. Go enjoy their festivals, live music, specially crafted dinners coordinated with their wines or join Upstage Productions for a Murder Mystery Dinner Theater. Otherwise simply sit on our wrap-around deck, enjoy the rustic setting, wildlife, and a glass of Pheasant Hollow Wine.

Pomona Winery

The Pomona Winery is nestled in the hills of the Shawnee Forest and surrounded by Illinois' most wild and scenic attractions. Having the luxury of being able to choose from Illinois' finest fruit from local orchards and farms, the owners and winemakers, George Majka and Jane Payne, have specialized in award-winning fruit wines. Their nine premium wines range from the semi-dry Jonathan Oak-Aged Reserve through semi-sweet Golden and sweet Orchard Spice apple wines to three outrageously fruity, highly aromatic dessert wines made from peaches, blueberries and strawberries.

Schorr Lake Vineyards

Schorr Lake Vineyards officially began in 1994 when the owners planted the first section of their 7 acre vineyard. They now have a total of 16 varieties of grapes. They also grow our own blackberries. The winery became bonded in September, 1997 and opened in October, 1998. The winery also has been an effort of friends and family and remains so today. New friends are always welcome to try their hand at picking grapes, wine making, bottling or any of the many other chores involved in achieving our finished product. All wines produced at Schorr Lake are estate grown and estate produced. By producing all of their own quality fruits, the staff can be assured of the highest quality, most consistent product possible.

Von Jakob Vineyards

Von Jakob Vineyard is “Little Germany” located on Shawnee National Forest hills in the Illinois Ozarks. Owners Dr. Paul and Rhoda Jacobs have planted their ideal grape growing ground and incorporated the winery buildings around our family's Tudor home to give a warm, welcome feeling. Von Jakob offers an amazing, countryside atmosphere. Visit their tasting room with over 20 varieties of wine, or the gift shop which has a little something for everyone. Perhaps you would just like to come relax on their decks, (covered and uncovered) or inside the atrium. They are equipped for any season. There is a stone fireplace outside and inside for your warmth. They are famous for their Grapevine Smoked Barbecue and Bratwurst, which is available on the weekends all year round. Cheese and crackers and other little goodies are also available daily.
